Kodak launches new smart TVs in India: Check specs and price here

These newly launched smart TVs include a 42-inch model, which costs 19,999 and a 50-inch model, which costs 29,999.

Kodak on Tuesday launched two new smart TVs in India These newly launched smart TVs include a 42-inch model, which costs 19,999 and a 50-inch model, which costs 29,999. They will go on sale in India exclusively via Flipkart as a part of its Flipkart Republic Day Sale.

As far as the details are concerned, the 50-inch UHD model, which is a part of the company's 7XPRO series, comes with an IPS display with a resolution of 3841x2160 pixels, a viewing angle of 178 degrees and a peak brightness of 500 nits. It is powered by a 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core CPU and Mali-450MP3 GPU that is coupled with 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM. It runs on Android OS. It has three HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and WiFi for connectivity. It also features support for Google Assistant. It features support for over 5,000 apps and games.

The 42-inch FHD model, on the other hand, comes with an IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It is powered by the same CPU and GPU like the one powering the 50-inch model. The difference is that it has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. Other details such as the viewing angle, ports and connectivity options remain the same. Apart from that, this model comes with a remote that has dedicated keys for Amazon Prime, Youtube and SonyLiv.

Kodak says that the new 42-inch TV also comes with a powerful sound of 30W and pre-loaded apps such as YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Sony Liv, MX player, Zee5 among others that offer a theatre-like experience to the customers.

“Content consumption patterns have changed due to COVID-19 and Kodak 7XPRO is a certified Google Android TV that optimises data usage across 5,00,000 movies, shows, games and music available on the Google Play Store,” Avneet Singh Marwah, Director and CEO, Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd said on the occasion.
