CES 2021: TCL launches Google TV, new Mini LED, QLED and 4K HDR TVs and more

Apart from launching new TVs, TCL also launched its Next-GenODZero Mini-LED Technology at CES 2021.

TCL announced a major boost for its smart TV lineup on the sidelines of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021, which is being held virtually this year in light of the pandemic. The company not only launched its Google TV but it also launched a new Mini LED, QLED and 4K HDR TVs at the event on Monday. In addition to that, the company introduced a new display technology at the event.

Google TV

Let's start with the TCL Google TV. TCL today announced its Google TV at the CES 2021 event. The company says that the TCL Google TV will combine the company's display technologies, such as Mini-LED, 8K and QLED, with Google's entertainment offerings, to provide users with more of the content they love more easily than ever before.

“We are excited to partner with TCL to bring Google TV to customers around the world. Google TV is more helpful and delightful TV experience that helps users find the content they love,” Shobana Radhakrishnan, Senior Engineering Director, Google TV said on the occasion.

The company didn't share further details, including the price and availability, of its Google TV yet.

Apart from announcing its Google TV, TCL also showcased its newest Mini LED, QLED and 4K HDR TVs at the ongoing tech fest.

4K Mini LED TV

First in the line is TCL's 4K Mini LED TV with the model number C825. It features a 120Hz MEMC and 120Hz low reverse display. Additionally, it features Quantum Dot Display technology, Dolby Vision HDR imaging technology, and Dolby Vision IQ for an advanced viewing experience. This newly announced TV comes with a 4-way HDMI 2.1 port, VRR, ALLM, eARC, WiFi6 and low input lag give gaming fans a faster and a smoother experience.

QLED 4K TV

Next in line is the C725 QLED 4K. It features a nearly 100% ultra-high color gamut along with the Quantum Dot Display technology. This TV also features Dolby Vision ultra-vivid picture and Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience. Additionally, TCL says that users can enjoy Google Duo and unlimited content from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Disney+ and more on this device. In terms of connectivity it has an HDMI 2.1 port.

4K HDR TV

TCL also launched the P725 4K HDR TV with Dolby experience at CES 2021. The TCL P725 is a 4K HDR TV featuring Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies. It also has MEMC motion picture processing capabilities, which the company says ensures crisper, no-blurring and stable imagery performance in fast-moving, action-packed scenes.

TCL has announced the price and availability of any of these TVs yet.

Next-GenODZero Mini-LED Technology

Apart from launching new TVs, TCL also launched its Next-GenODZero Mini-LED Technology at CES 2021. TCL says that this technology combines its latest generation Mini-LED backlight technology with its powerful vertical integration to deliver an ultra-slim profile in LED LCD TVs.

This new technology not only helps display in delivering richer and more detailed imagery but also enables the company to make devices that are extremely slim by minimising the distance between the light source and the panel.

TCL says that this technology will be available in high-performance and ultra-slim TCL TVs that will be announced closer to the sales launch later this year.
