Apple Watch Series 6 removed as Watch Series 7 goes on sale

Apple is doing some spring cleaning albeit it is fall season. Apple Watch Series 6 is being discontinued even as the recently launched Apple Watch Series 7 has gone on sale today. The new Watch Series 7 was launched at the special Apple event that rolled out the iPhone 13, iPhone Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Now, nearly a month after announcing the Apple Watch Series 7, the company has removed the Watch Series 6 from its official lineup. As per The Verge, those wanting to buy a brand new Apple Watch, will now have just 3 options: Apple Watch Series 7, priced at $399; Apple Watch SE, priced at $279 and Apple Watch Series 3 priced at $199.

However, if money is the consideration and you don't want to spend too much, Apple Watch Series 6 can still be positively looked at, considering the many features they share. But if the budget can be stretched to the newly launched smartwatch, then Apple Watch Series 7 is what you want to go for.

Apple's refurbished store has three different Series 6 models for sale right now, for example, and Amazon is currently offering many refurbished Series 6 watches at a lower price.

Apple Watch Series 7 price is ₹41,900. Apple also announced that the Apple Watch SE price will start in India at ₹29,900, and the Apple Watch Series 3 price will start in India at ₹20,900.

As far as specs are concerned, Apple Watch Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm size variants and 1.7 mm thin narrow bezels. It comes with a crack-resistant front crystal and IP6X dust and water-resistant coating and WR50 water resistance rating. The Apple Watch Series 7 also features a larger display with a new QWERTY keyboard with two unique watch faces — Contour and Modular Duo — that are specially designed for the Watch Series 7. As far as the battery is concerned, Apple says that the newly launched Apple Watch Series 7 offers 18-hour of battery life. The company claims that it charges 33% faster than the older model.
