Oppo Watch ECG Edition with 40-hour battery life, stainless steel body launched

Oppo has launched the Oppo Watch ECG Edition in China. Following the launch of the Oppo Watch in March this year, the ECG version of the Oppo Watch has launched now. The Oppo Watch was launched in two sizes - a 41mm and a 46mm, the ECG Edition comes only in the 46mm size and has the same specs as its predecessor. Of course, the electrocardiogram feature is additional in this one.

The Oppo Watch ECG Edition comes in a single stainless steel option and with an IPX8 rating.

The smartwatch is priced at CNY 2,499 which is ₹27,000 approx. It is priced the same as the stainless steel version of the standard Oppo watch.

Oppo has not shared any information about the international availability for the Oppo Watch ECG Edition yet. The normal Oppo Watch was launched in India in July this year after being launched in China in March and was priced at Ts 14,990 for the 41mm version adn ₹19,990 for the 46mm version.

We are assuming Oppo is going to bring in the Oppo Watch ECG Edition to India by this year though.

Speaking of features, the Oppo Watch ECG Edition features a 1.91-inch AMOLED display (402x476 pixel^. The smartwatch will run on Color OS and will work with any smartphone running Android 6 and higher.

The Oppo Watch ECG Edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC and an Apollo 3 co-processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It also has a 430mAh battery that comes with a 40-day battery life promise. It can run for 40-days on normal mode and an additional 21 days on Power Saver mode. The smartwatch supports VOOC fast charging.

The Oppo Watch ECG Edition has a 5 ATM/IPX8 water resistance rating and the sensors onboard include a three-axis accelerometer, air pressure sensor, gyro sensor, geomagnetism sensor, optical heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, and the ECG. Connectivity options on the Oppo Watch ECG Edition include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS/A-GPS.

The watch features sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, sedentary reminders, alongside tracking for a wide range of workouts and an AI-based fitness regime feature. The smartwatch comes with eSIM support and weighs 45.5 grams.
