Pokemon ball with earbuds inside! After we saw a cricket ball with TWS earbuds inside, Samsung now announces a Pokemon Edition Galaxy Buds 2 for its home market. And NO! It won't be catching Pokemon in the world — hence, don't trying throwing them at animals or you might be losing your earbuds. It follows the Pokemon Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 that was literally sold out in minutes. Similar to the Z Flip 3, Samsung is yet to announce any plans for these earbuds outside the Korean market, although the special edition bits can essentially be sold as accessories to Galaxy Buds 2 users!

Simply put, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pokemon Edition are no different than the regular variant — you will still be able to choose them in the onyx, olive, white, lavender and graphite colours. Once you buy them, you will het a special Poke ball carrying case that can outfitted with a strap as well. This Poke ball case can also be outfitted to the older Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds Live! In essence, it is essentially a Poke Ball carrying case that is compatible with some recent Samsung TWS earbuds.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 gets Pokemon love

Along with the Poke ball case, the Pokemon Edition of the Galaxy Buds 2 also comes with one of the 11 limited Pokemon stickers. Those familiar with the world of Pokemon's will surely appreciate stickers of Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Ditto, Dragonite, Lapras, Eevee, Gengar, and Mew.

In a market where companies are going the extra mile to offer special custom services, Samsung could have gone ahead with more customisation on these Pokemon Edition Galaxy Buds 2. Nonetheless, the Poke Ball case certainly looks cool and it won't be a while before we see third-party accessory developers nicking the idea and selling these cases in truckloads.

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi recently did a special edition version of its ANC earbuds that were themed after the Genshin Impact game. Unlike Samsung, Redmi actually went tan extra mile and painted the case and the earbuds in special colours. It even came with a case designed to look like a leather back strap.
