Battlegrounds Mobile India Independence Day Mahotsav kicks off, game has crossed 49 million downloads
Battlegrounds Mobile India has crossed 49 million downloads since officially launching on July 2.
Battlegrounds Mobile India is all set to celebrate its rather successful launch and run and has kicked off celebrations starting with the in-game event titled Independence Day Mahotsav. As the name suggests, this in-game event is celebrating India's Independence Day with daily rewards and is going to go on till August 20. And that's not all, alongside this, Battlegrounds Mobile India has crossed 49 million downloads since its launch and is inches away from hitting the 50 million downloads milestone.
Battlegrounds Mobile India, the Indian variant for PUBG Mobiles, was made available to a handful of select players for beta testing in June this year and this was followed by the official rollout on July 2 for Android devices. And over this rather short time, the very popular battle royale has managed to rake up more than 49 million downloads. Marking the occasion, Krafton has once again teased the iOS release for the game but they have not shared a date yet. Additionally, Krafton also shared client patch notes for the latest incoming patch that fixes some of the in-game issues.
Battlegrounds Mobile India's Independence Day Mahotsav celebrates Independence Day in-game till August 20 and players will get rewards for logging in every day, from now till August 20. On the last day of the celebrations, players will be rewarded with an AVM sniper rifle skin. Some of the awards you can get over the Independence Day Mahotsav on Battlegrounds Mobile India include in-game currency, Classic Crate Coupon Scrap, Supply Crate Coupon, and Green Parachute trail. There are also new missions that you can unlock each day and play to win some special rewards.
Earlier this month, Krafton had announced a 50M Downloads Rewards Event in anticipation of crossing 50 million downloads on the Google Play Store. Battlegrounds Mobile India has already crossed the 49 million downloads mark and is moving towards touching to 50 million milestone. Players can collect three Classic Crate Coupon Scrap from the in-game events section once the 48 million, 49 million, and 50 million marks are reached. Currently, you can head over to the events section and collect the rewards for the game having crossed 48 and 49 million downloads.
Amidst all these announcements, Krafton teased the iOS rollout for Battlegrounds Mobile India once more on Instagram by asking fans to share their love for “apples”. This is the second time Krafton has teased the iOS launch on social media, the first time being on Twitter. However, once again we do not have a date for the iOS launch yet but it is expected to happen by this month.
The patch notes for the August 10 patch were updated on the Battlegrounds Mobile India website and it addresses a few issues that players have been experiencing in the game. These include the issues with the Ancient Snake skin DP28, Arcade Mode melee issues, issues with characters hiding in containers, characters getting stuck in the assembly line in the factory, and more. The new patch also updates some timelines for things like Royale Pass M2 that starts on August 13 and ends on September 17, C1S1 schedule that will end on September 16, C1S2 that starts September 17, etc.
