Battlegrounds Mobile India released the BGMI update 1.8 in January. And one of the most exciting additions of the update was the new Aftermath mode map. The map is a redesign of the Litvik map and has a similar size but now is equipped with multiple new features that add more value to the gaming experience and offers different elements to the classic BGMI experience. What's more? Some of the features included in this BGMI map such as zipline and riot shield are similar to Garena Free Fire zipline and gloo wall and now fans of both the games can enjoy these features on either of India's top battle royale style mobile games.

Battlegrounds Mobile India update 1.8 came on January 15 and introduced the Spider-Man event and added the Aftermath map that offers a futuristic look and unranked mode to protect the player's ranking while allowing them to enjoy the new map as much as they want. This has also become a testing ground for new skill moves and team strategies that players can later use in ranked mode to climb up the ladder. So, let us check out the best features in the Aftermath map.

Best features in BGMI Aftermath map

1. Unranked matches

Unranked matches were touted in Battleground Mobile India's 1.5 update but the maps were not playable. With the BGMI 1.8 update however, players can finally see maps being separated into ranked and unranked games. Unranked games, as the name suggests will not affect the ranking of players and allow for a more fluid and aggressive game making for more fun. Aftermath map allows players to test out new skills as well as enjoy this beautifully designed map.

2. Control weapons better with AC core

Based on a futuristic setting, Aftermath also comes with new technologies to help players in combat situations. All of the firearms in this mode are equipped with an AC core module that not only reduces the recoil but also offers better aim assist.

3. Zipline and riot shield reminds of Garena Free Fire

Fans of both the games will recognize the similarities in the Aftermath game as the map now includes zipline and riot shields. Ziplines connect two nearby points through a steel role and a hand grip to swiftly move from one point to another. Riot shields are quite similar to gloo walls in Garena Free Fire and can be used to create a temporary protection layer from the enemy's attack.

4. BGMI Tactical glasses

This has been a much demanded feature from BGMI fans. Tactical glasses reveal the damage status of the enemy and lets the player tweak the strategy to save ammunition and the best way to eliminate them. The Aftermath map will be available till February 14 and if you have not played this mode, you should do it right now. Make sure to test out all these features to get the most out of the game.
