According to a representative from Krafton, they are are in talks with the Indian government and are awaiting for feedback and approvals to relaunch PUBG Mobile in India, as per reports.

“We are awaiting for Indian government’s consideration and decision on our next plan with PUBG in the region,” a Krafton communications representative said as per a report in Sportskeeda.

This same report also quoted the head of corporate development at Krafton, Sean Hyunil Sohn who had an update to sage regarding PUBG Mobile's comeback during the Indian Gaming Conference 2021.

“I cannot tell the timing or anything because we don’t know yet. But what I can tell you is, we care about the Indian market greatly and also that’s how I get to know you and get to know friends in the Indian gaming industry now. So definitely, we will work hard to make it happen,” Sohn reportedly said.

Krafton has also said that since their focus is on relaunching the game in India, they will not be opening the pre-registration for PUBG: New State here. The new iteration of PUBG Mobile - PUBG: New State was announced recently on both the App Store and the Google Play Store.

Reports have it that a Krafton official said that they are going everything they can to get the game back in India - “With Krafton doing everything it can to prepare for the launch of a new PUBG app specifically developed and serviced for India, it has decided not to include pre-registration for PUBG: New State in India”.

By the looks of it, PUBG fans will have to wait a while longer to hear some concrete good news.
