How to listen to Queen Elizabeth’s Christmas message using Alexa
Alexa users in India, however, will be able to listen to the address at 8:30PM on Christmas.
Amazon has a sweet surprise for its Alexa users across the world. On December 25, fans of Queen Elizabeth's Christmas message will be able to listen to the annual speech via their Echo smart speaker.
As per a report by The Guardian, Alexa users will be able to summon the Queen into their living rooms simply by asking Alexa to do so. Alexa users will be available to listen to the Queen's annual message starting 3PM GMT on December 25.
Good news is that this feature or the broadcast, will not be available only in the United Kingdom but also in other parts of the world including the US, Canada, Australia and India. Alexa users in India, however, will be able to listen to the address at 8:30PM on Christmas. All they (or other Alexa users around the world) need to do is say, “Alexa, play the Queen's Christmas Day message.”
On the occasion, Alexa Europe's director, Eric King said that after a challenging year, the availability of the Queen's Christmas message on Alexa will help in uplifting the spirits of people across the globe.
If you don't own an Echo speaker, you will be able to listen to the Queen's speech in their living rooms using their Google Home smart speakers at the same time by saying, “Hey Google, play BBC Radio 4.”
Notably, the Queen will be recording her annual Christmas this year from Windsor Castle where she and Prince Phillip will be spending their holidays this year instead of Sandringham in Norfolk owing to the pandemic.
