Thomson launches ‘OATH Pro’ TV range in India starting at ₹24,999
The starting price of the TVs are ₹24,999 and these will be going on sale from July 5th, 2020 exclusively from Flipkart.
Thomson, the European consumer electronics firms has expanded its TV lineup in India with the OATH Pro series. This includes three TVs in 43-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes. The starting price of the TVs are ₹24,999 and these will be going on sale from July 5th, 2020 exclusively from Flipkart. The firm says this is its premium TV lineup that features chic rose gold, bezel less, minimalistic screen with a modern design.
On the inside you get functionalities like MEMC (motion estimation, motion compensation), Dolby digital plus, Dolby vision, HDR10, Bluetooth 5.0, with shortcut key of Netflix, prime video, YouTube and Play store. The TVs run Android 9 Pie, has a display resolution of 3840X2160 with HDR 10 support and includes 30W inbuilt speakers as well. Thomson says its OATH Pro TVs are powered by a Mediatek quad-core processor.
“We are proud that all our premium android tvs are made in India. In a short span of 2 years we are delighted to have captured 5% of the smart tv market space, with our entry into the premium TV segment now. For almost a decade 4 brands had 80% market share, the foremost reason was premium technology products. This tv has world best features with the Android ecosystem and at a super affordable price. There will be a definite shift in market share of the premium segment, in next 3 years we plan to achieve 15% in this segment. Thomson tv has taken a strategic decision to launch more premium technology TVs in future,” said Avneet Singh Marwah, CEO SPPL, Exclusive Brand Licensee of Thomson TVs in India.
Talking about TV launches in India, Samsung too launched its The Serif TV range in the country at a starting price of ₹83,900.
