Xiaomi today launched a product that can sense your presence around it. The newly launched device, that was launched on the company's crowdfunding platform last month, is called the Mi Human Sensor 2 and it costs CNY 59 in China ( 660 approx). It is available for purchase via Jingdong and other platforms in the country.

Now, the most important question: What does the Mi Human Sensor 2 do?

Well, the answer to this question is really simple. The Mi Human Sensor 2 senses your (or anyone else's) presence and takes necessary actions. GizChina says that the device focuses on motion detection, light and dark recognition, and intelligent linkage.

It uses its sensors to detect the presence of people within a specific range and then take an action based on the connected devices available. The report says that it can detect your presence with precision when you are at a distance of up to 7 meters.

For instance, at night it will turn on the light if it detects motion in the room where it has been placed. You can also use it to record video by connecting it to a smart camera.

The Xiaomi Mi Human Sensor 2 connects with the Mijia app via a nearby Bluetooth gateway. This app can also be used to check other details such as battery status, signal strength and device log.

It is worth mentioning that at the moment the Mi Human Sensor 2 is available only in China and there is no word on if and when it will arrive in other markets around the globe.
