Xiaomi is adding two new models to the Redmi Note 11 series ever since the Note 11T broke cover. The Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S will be 4G-only phones, and have already debuted globally. Basic upgrades over last year include a 90Hz AMOLED display, new chipsets for both models, and a new main camera for the Note 11S. Both phones are also expected to debut Xiaomi's MIUI 13 skin in India, although it remains to be seen whether they launch with Android 12.

Note that there's no hint of the Redmi Note 11 Pro models launching in India yet. The launch event will begin at 12 pm.

Vivo debuts its new midrange series in India with the Vivo T1 5G. Vivo has so far revealed a lot about the phone, including its new design as well as some specifications. The T1 5G will rely on the Snapdragon 695 5G chip, offer a 120Hz refresh rate display, and a 50MP main rear camera. Vivo also confirms the T1 to be priced somewhere under Rs. 20,000, thereby making it a new rival to the Moto G71 5G and Redmi Note 11T 5G.

Towards the higher-end of the price spectrum, it is Samsung who will be dominating the headlines later today with its Galaxy S22 series devices. Samsung has been teasing superior low light photography with this this year's Galaxy S flagships. Leaks have suggested the Galaxy S22 Ultra taking over from the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, complete with its S Pen silo and the same squared design. The regular Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus will also get camera upgrades, as well as minor design tweaks. Watch out for an Indian surprise as rumours suggest that Samsung could be putting Snapdragon chips for the Indian S22 models.
