We are still around 10 days away from the Apple ‘Far Out' launch event for iPhone 14 series but various leaks have revealed quite a bit about the upcoming smartphones. The leaks have highlighted some major upgrades for the Pro models this year but for the non Pro models, the upgrades, giving a mixed opinion about the smartphones so far. But interestingly, we have also been hearing some rumors and leaks about what Apple is planning in 2023 and it appears that the iPhone 15 might be the real game-changer for Apple. How? Read on to find out.

What you should know about the iPhone 15

This year, the iPhone 14 Pro models are speculated to get a larger rear camera as well as an improved front facing camera. But the iPhone 15 is going to take the camera game to the next level with an under-display camera. That's right. We saw Samsung use a version of this technology for its Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Apple might try its hands at this feature too.

Another report by popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reveals that the iPhone 15 might finally ditch the Lightning port for the USB-C type port. He said in a tweet, “My latest survey indicates that 2H23 new iPhone will abandon Lightning port and switch to USB-C port. USB-C could improve iPhone's transfer and charging speed in hardware designs, but the final spec details still depend on iOS support”.

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

Another big claim comes from Jeff Pu who believes that the iPhone 15 might get a 5x periscope camera extending its optical zoom abilities far more than at present.

Finally, coming to the price of the iPhone 15. Gauging a price so early on it is quite difficult given almost nothing is final about the device. However, given that Apple is expected to raise the price of its smartphone after so many years, a similar move two years in a row is not likely. As such, the iPhone 15 base model should start at $799 and the iPhone 15 Pro models should begin at $1,099.

We should mention that this is very early days in iPhone 15 development and a lot of these leaks and rumors will probably not make it to the final device. So, do take this with a pinch of salt.
