Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 to launch in India on August 20? Check out Samsung's response to Alia Bhatt

Within days of its launch event, Samsung has announced that both of its foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, will be launched in India very soon.

Samsung hosted its Galaxy Unpacked 2021 online event on Wednesday, during it launched its next-generation of foldable display smartphones, which includes the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones. At the event, Samsung announced that the two phones will be available in select countries later this month at a price of $1,799.99 ( ₹1,33,693 approx.) and $999.99 ( ₹74,264 approx.) respectively. However, the company had not shared the exact pricing or the availability of the two foldable display phones in India. That may have changed today.

Samsung India, in a response to Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt, may have revealed the date when its newly announced Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones will be launching in India. “Say no more @aliaa08! We welcome you to #TeamGalaxy. A special delivery coming your way on 20th August. Unfold and pick your Foldable! #GalaxyZFold3 #GalaxyZFlip3,” Samsung India wrote in a response to a Tweet by the actress indicating that the two phones will be launching in India on the mentioned date. The company, however, didn't explicitly say that it is planning to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in India on August 20. The two devices are available for ‘Pre-reserve' on Samsung India's official website.

Earlier, Samsung India had opened its doors for pre-booking its next-generation foldable display smartphones by just paying a sum of ₹2,000. Samsung had also announced special benefits which included a free Galaxy SmartTag worth ₹2,699, to the customers who pre-booked the device.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 specs

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED 120Hz display on the inside and a 1.9-inch super AMOLED display on the outside. It is powered by an octa-core processor that is coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage space. It runs on Android 11-based OneUI 3.0. It has a 12MP + a 12MP rear camera setup. On the front, it has a 10MP camera on the front for clicking selfies. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 has Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth v5.1, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS and 5G for connectivity and it is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging technology.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 specs

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with a 6.2-inch AMOLED cover display and a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED panel on the inside. Both the displays have a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC that is coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. On the camera front, it has a 10MP selfie camera and 12MP+12MP+12MP rear camera setup. It packs a 4,400mAh battery with support for 25W charging technology.
