Google Pixel 7 vs iPhone 14: Google has just introduced its flagship, the Google Pixel 7, which has been launched alongside the Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel Watch, and Pixel tablet during the Made By Google event globally today. However, jut a few weeks ago, Apple launched its own popular iPhone, the iPhone 14. So, the first question in the mind will be, which one is better, the Google Pixel 7 or the iPhone 14. As we have just been introduced to another major Android flagship of the year, we have compared both in terms of specs. Let's have a quick look at the 5 major differences between these flagships of 2022.

Google Pixel 7 vs iPhone 14

    Chipset

Google announced the new Pixel 7 with a new Tensor G2 chip, which promised to result in better and faster Voice assistance: live translate, Google Assistant, and voice typing. Google claims that machine learning runs 60 per cent faster on Pixel 7. Also, Google promises five years of security updates. While on the other hand, iPhone 14 continues to ship the same A15 Bionic chipset that the previous year's iPhone 13 Pro had introduced.

    Cameras

The new Tensor G2 chipset is not just said to improve performance on the Pixel 7, but also the camera performance. It features a dual camera setup of a 50MP primary camera coupled with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. However, there are some touted upgrades in the Pixel 7 camera, all thanks to the new chipset. It includes new Cinematic Blur video mode, Photo Unblur which uses machine learning to remove blur in the photos, and said to have fast Night Sight than before. On the front, it comes with an upgraded ultrawide front-facing camera, with a larger sensor, which claims to have better night-time selfies, 4K videos, and more.

    Not sure which
    mobile to buy?

On the other hand, Apple launched the iPhone 14 with the same dual camera setup of 12MP each at the rear and a 12MP selfie sensor at the front. Apple iPhone 14 also includes some useful camera features such as Night Mode, Photographic Styles, Portrait Mode and Cinematic Mode for video up to 4K/30fps.

    Display

The Google Pixel 7 sports a 6.32-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, unlike the 6.1‑inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. However, Google Pixel 7 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the device, an area where iPhone 14 still lacks the feature. Moreover, always-on-display is available on Pixel 7, whereas, Apple remained that feature exclusively for the iPhone 14 Pro models.

    Battery Life

It all depends on the claims for now! Google has claimed that the Pixel 7 will delivery “24-hour plus” battery life, and here, Apple promises up to 20 hours of video playback with the iPhone 14. In terms of charging speed, Pixel 7 comes with 30W wired charging and Apple promises up to 50 percent charge in around 30 minutes with 20W adapter.

    Price

Google has smartly priced the new Pixel 7 at a starting price of $599 (Rs. 59,999), while the iPhone 14 comes at a price of $799 (Rs. 79,900) for the 128GB storage variant.
