Apple launched its new iPhone 12 series globally in September and things are already moving towards the iPhone 13. The recently launched devices do not come with USB-C or Touch ID, and if reports are anything to go by, the iPhone 13 is pretty much going to go the same way and sport only some improvements over the predecessor.

According to tipster Jioriku on Twitter, the early iPhone 13 prototypes are here and these designs, which could well just be tentative ones, indicate that it's not moving too far from the iPhone 12. As per Jioriku, the prototype also does not include the in-display Touch ID. Given that Apple brought the Touch ID back on the iPad Air 4, it might disappoint a lot of people that the next iteration of iPhones might not have them.

However, this bit of news contradicts earlier reports from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who said that Apple will be launching at least one model with in-display Touch-ID. And the iPhone 13 might adopt a similar design to the iPad Pro is Jioriku is right. It could come with a body design with flatter edges with the display on a metal frame with rounded corners - just as we see it now. It could be going down the same design route of a display with a wide notch that houses the Face ID sensors and front camera.

Other reports have told us that the iPhone 13 will come with a 120Hz refresh rate and will adopt the LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) display designed by Apple, writes GizmoChina. The A15 Bionic is expected to power the device and will be manufactured by TSMC using a 5nm process. Tipster Jon Prosser has already hinted that the future iPhones will have a 1TB storage option.
