Just a few days ago, we got to know that production of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max has been affected due to the ongoing COVID lockdown in China. Now, a new report from Bloomberg says that the production of the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have also been hit. Not that the iPhone 14 is witnessing a huge surge in demand but the production has been affected and the manufacturing will be affected eventually.

The report from Bloomberg says that the iPhone 14 production has been cut by a whopping 3 million units. The initial target was 90 million units but Apple has now slashed it down to 87 million units. Despite the reduction in production, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are easily available in stocks and can be booked easily.

The iPhone 14 hasn't been off to a good start this year, and experts say that demand has been weak compared to Apple's estimates. The iPhone 14 was launched essentially as a beefed up version of the iPhone 13 from last year and the changes are minimal. The phone looks largely the same as the iPhone 13, and it even uses the same A15 Bionic chip. The iPhone 14 also comes with the same 60Hz OLED display that has the small display notch. It misses out on Dynamic Island.

The iPhone 14 Plus went on sale later as the bigger sized variant of the iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 Plus has the same 6.7-inch size display as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but has the same 60Hz OLED display with a small notch. The iPhone 14 Plus also has a larger capacity battery that can deliver over a day's battery life.

With the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus seeing sedate sales, people are flocking over to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Pro offers a new A16 Bionic chip, a new 48MP main rear camera, a Dynamic Island, and more.
