Micromax India to launch new smartphones in India soon

Micromax India is gearing to launch a new smartphone series in India. It is likely to be called ‘In’.

Gurugram-based tech company Micromax is gearing for a major launch in India. The company is planning to launch a new smartphone series in India soon.

While the company hasn't shared any details about its upcoming smartphone lineup yet, it has shared a nearly 2-minutes long video by the co-founder Rahul Sharma on its official Twitter. In the video, the Micromax co-founder talks about the company's journey so far, including the time when the Chinese smartphone makers overtook the competition, which in turn led to a decline in the sales of its smartphones. “I wasn't defeated then but I was content with everything that I had achieved,” he said in the video.

“But what happened at the border wasn't right. So, when our Prime Minister gave the clarion call for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, we decided to respond to that...And so Micromax India is coming back with a new smartphone called ‘In,” he added.

In the video he also shared the box of the company's upcoming smartphone series. It's a Blue-coloured box-with ‘In' written on it, which indicates that the company is launching a new In-series smartphone in India.

As far as the details are concerned, nothing much is known about the company's upcoming smartphone series yet. However, as per the tipster Sumukh Rao, Micromax's In-series smartphones will include devices within a range of ₹7,000 and ₹15,000. These smartphones will run on Stock Android and they will launch in India in early November.

While the tipster didn't share any specifications, he did says that the phones will come sans the bloatware and that the company will not include MediaTek's P22, P30 or G25 processors in its upcoming smartphone series.

As per a separate report by Live Mint, Micromax will sell its smartphones in two segments, which includes ₹7,000 to ₹10,000 and ₹20,000 to ₹25,000. The company will launch two In-series smartphones in the first week of November and then bring the entire series by the end of this year.

The report also said that Micromax will also be launching connected devices including air conditioners.

Beyond this, Micromax's In-series smartphones remain a total mystery for now. Meanwhile, we will have to wait for the company to share more details about its upcoming smartphone series.
