The Moto G51 5G could soon launch in India as Motorola's another midrange smartphone option. The Moto G51 launched in Europe a few days ago and rumours suggest that Motorola is willing to bring the same to India. There is no launch date hinted yet but it could happen within the next few weeks. Motorola is already launching the Moto G31 in India on November 29, hence this one's launch could be around the corner too.

The information comes via a report from 91Mobiles, wherein it is stated that the Moto G51 5G could launch in December. It may also debut the Snapdragon 480+ chipset in India, which is one of the newest 5G Qualcomm chipsets for entry-level phones. Globally, the phone costs Eur 230, which is approximately 19,000 in direct conversion.

Moto G51 5G could launch in India soon

Based on the history of Motorola's aggressive pricing strategy for India, the Moto G51 could end costing the same as the Moto G60, which is a 4G phone. There are certain downgrades to accommodate the 5G chip, especially with regards to the camera.

For a quick refresher, the Moto G51 features a 6.8-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Snapdragon 480+ chip brings support for 5G connectivity, and is accompanied by up to 8GB RAM. The phone boots a near stock Android 11 out of the box. It relies on a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W fast wired charging in the box.

As for the cameras, the Moto G51 5G has a 50MP primary sensor that is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera relies on a 13MP sensor.

On the other hand, Motorola India has already confirmed launching the Moto G31 in India. The G31 will bring a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display a Helio G85 chipset, a 50MP main rear camera and a 5000mAh battery.
