Xiaomi recently launched Redmi Note 9 series in China. The company is now looking to expand the series with another handset, dubbed as Redmi Note 9T. Ahead of the official launch, the smartphone has made an appearance on Geekbench, revealing some important features.

The benchmark listing, which also features renders of the phone, shows Redmi Note 9T has a familiar front design – a full-screen display with a tiny punch-hole camera cutout on the left corner. The back panel has a circular camera module as seen in some of the recent Redmi and Poco phones.

The benchmark further reveals the phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the software front, it runs on Android 10. As far as benchmark scores go, it has bagged 598 points on the single-core test and 1760 multi-core test.

As of now, there is no word on when the phone officially releases, but it's safe to speculate it would arrive early 2021.

Separately, Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone in India on January 5. The company has already confirmed in one of the teasers that the phone has 108-megapixel camera. Rumours claim it will be called Mi 10i, which is considered as a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. According to reports, the phone will be available in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage combinations. It will also be available in black, blue, and orange-green gradient colour options.

Xiaomi had launched Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G last month. Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, the base model, is priced at CNY 1,599 ( 18,000 approximately).
