Vivo has launched another iPhone 13 killer! After announcing its Vivo X Note and its first foldable Vivo has now revealed the Vivo X80 series to the Chinese market. The most feature-laden one is called the Vivo X80 Pro and there is a more affordable variant called the Vivo X80. Both of them are rocking the latest processors from Qualcomm and MediaTek but vary vastly in terms of the camera hardware. If launched in India, these phones could give existing 2022 Android flagships a run for their money.

Considering that these are China-exclusive for now, the global priced could vary vastly. Still, if you are interested, you will be happy to know that the base model starts from CNY 5499, or $840 and goes up to CNY 6699, or $1020. These phones can be chosen with either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, or the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip. The regular Vivo X80 starts at CNY 3699 for the base 8GB/128GB variant and this can be had with only the Dimensity 9000 chipset.

Vivo X80 series could be an iPhone 13 killer

The Vivo X80 Pro is offering a choice of chipset for the first time. You can get it either with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Dimensity 9000 chip. Whichever version you choose it with, the phone will come as standard with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO 2 display with refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. This one gets an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor with a larger detection area.

The quad camera setup on the rear has a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GNV sensor with f/1.57 lens for the main camera, a 12MP Sony IMX663 2X zoom camera with gimbal OIS, another 8MP 5X telephoto camera with OIS, and a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide camera. Other niceties include the Vivo V1+ ISP chip and a Zeiss T* coating for the lens. The front camera has a 32MP sensor.

To power all that, the phone has a 4700mAh battery and gets support of its wired 80W charging solution along with a 50W wireless charging solution. The phone can be had in Black, Orange and Green, with varying materials of choice including Vegan Leather, AG Glass, and Ceramic. Whichever version you choose, the phone will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.

The standard Vivo X80 can only be had with the Dimensity 9000 chipset, a 6.7-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1500 nits of brightness. The cameras get a downgrade too – the main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX8666 sensor with OIS, another 2X zoom camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The battery capacity is slightly smaller at 4500mAh and get the same 80W wired charging support. However, it misses out on the wireless charging feature.
