/5 Motorola Moto G42 uses the generic Snapdragon 680 chipset found on most budget phones these days. With 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, the Moto G42 isn't a fast phone. We observed sluggish performance with laggy animations and long app load times.  (Amritanshu / HT Tech)

/5 Motorola Moto G42 offers a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. While the 60Hz refresh rate may not be smooth, the display looks good for content consumption and it goes plenty bright for outdoors. (Amritanshu / HT Tech)

/5 Motorola Moto G42 offers a near-stock Android 12 experience with Pixel UI elements. It looks good and lets you tweak the UI slightly, allowing some customisation. However, there are pre-loaded apps, which is very un-Motorola like. We did not observe any advertisements in the UI. (Amritanshu / HT Tech)

/5 Motorola Moto G42 impressed us with its battery life, courtesy of the 5000mAh battery and the power efficient Snapdragon chip. You can go up to two days on a single charge with moderate use. You only get a 20W charger in the box.  (Amritanshu / HT Tech)

/5 Motorola Moto G42 features a rather average se of triple cameras on its back. The 50MP main camera is the only one worth using in day and night; the 8MP wide camera and 2MP macro camera disappoint a lot.  (Amritanshu / HT Tech)
