Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 10 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 1100, faster charging speeds

Redmi Note 10 Pro has made its debut in China with some changes under the hood.

Xiaomi today launched the Redmi Note 10 Pro in its home market. The smartphone however comes with upgrades over the Redmi Note 10 Pro that's available globally. It comes with a different chipset, and offers faster charging. Xiaomi has also slightly tweaked the rear design of the phone.

Redmi Note 10 Pro in China starts at CNY 1,499 ( 17,100 approx) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes in two more variants of 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. There are three colour options available for the Redmi Note 10 Pro - black, white and blue. In terms of design, it has a square-shaped rear camera module as opposed to the slim rectangular one on the global model.

This Redmi Note 10 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset. On the global variant, there's a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset. It also comes with a 6.67-inch LCD FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Victus protection. The global variant gets an AMOLED display but with Gorilla Glass 5 and standard refresh rate. The smartphone also packs a 5,000mAh battery but with up to 67W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs MIUI 12.5 with Android 11.

There's a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Connectivity options on the Redmi Note 10 Pro include 5G, NFC, dual SIM support, and a USB Type-C port.
