Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite India launch teased again
Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain's tweet suggests the company could be launching the Mi 11 Lite in India soon.
Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi 11 Lite smartphone in India soon. The company hasn't made the announcement yet but there have been hints on its arrival. It looks like the Mi 11 Lite India launch has been teased again, and this time by Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain. The assumption comes from a tweet shared by Jain which focuses on the word “light” which is most likely hinting at the Mi 11 Lite.
Jain's tweet is actually a poll where he asks users to pick the kind of phone they want. The option “Thin & Lite, yet Loaded” gets the most number of votes. The Mi 11 Lite is known for its lightweight design so it's quite likely that the phone being talked about is this one. There's no official word yet but considering Xiaomi's already launched three Mi 11 phones in India, it's most likely the Mi 11 Lite. The smartphone was made official in March along with the Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11i.
Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 Lite in 4G and 5G variants but there isn't much difference between the two phones. The Mi 11 Lite features a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole camera. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both phones also pack a 4250mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. On the Mi 11 Lite 4G you get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor. The 5G variant is powered by the Snapdragon 780G processor.
In the photography department, the Mi 11 Lite features a triple camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5-megapixel tele macro lens. The difference is in the selfie camera. The Mi 11 Lite 4G model features a 16-megapixel front camera. You get a 20-megapixel front camera on the Mi 11 Lite 5G. On the software front, both phones run MIUI 12 with Android 11.
