Xiaomi Mi 11 series with Snapdragon 888 to launch on Dec 28
Xiaomi's flagship smartphone series is expected to feature the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro.
Xiaomi has announced the launch date for its flagship Mi 11 series. This announcement comes shortly after Xiaomi confirmed the Mi 11 smartphone will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
Xiaomi on Weibo announced the Mi 11 series will launch on December 28. The Mi 11 launch event will take place in China, and it is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm which will be 5:00 pm IST for viewers in India. Xiaomi's flagship series is expected to feature the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro. Both smartphones have been showing up on leaks and reports revealing key specifications and features.
What's confirmed so far is that the Mi 11 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This would make the Mi 11 the first Snapdragon 888-powered phone. Other than this, Mi 11 Pro is expected to feature a 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and quad HD+ resolution.
Mi 11 Pro will most likely feature a 108-megapixel primary camera, and a 4,970mAh battery. The smartphone is also said to offer up to 12GB of RAM, and run MIUI-based Android 11 out-of-the-box. Xiaomi is also rumoured to ship a 55W charger with the Mi 11 Pro.
Mi 11 will come with a smaller 4,780mAh battery, and a quad HD+ display. This smartphone has also been spotted with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens as one of its cameras. Leaked renders show a punch-hole display, and a square-shaped rear camera module for the Mi 11 series.
