Xiaomi earlier this week announced the launch of Redmi 9i smartphone in India. This is going to be a new budget smartphone, and Xiaomi has been dropping a few hints on what to expect. But ahead of the launch, the Redmi 9i has leaked with its specs, colour variants and even price revealed.

According to a report by 91mobiles, Redmi 9i will start at 7,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone will come in another variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The report further adds that the smartphone will be available in three colour options of Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green. Based on this report, Redmi 9i will be the most affordable in the Redmi 9/Note 9 series.

Xiaomi in its teaser page has so far confirmed that the Redmi 9i will indeed pack 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is also spotted with a notched display, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on top. Redmi 9i is also confirmed to launch with the latest MIUI 12 out-of-the-box. As for the rest of the specs, Xiaomi hasn't revealed so far.

GSMArena earlier reported that the Redmi 9i could come with a 6.53-inch HD display. It is also tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery and MediaTek's Helio G25 processor. The smartphone will also come with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
