Xiaomi appears to be prepping for its next addition to the Redmi Note line. Leaked specifications along with the device's certification at the FCC points to a potential new release for the lower-midrange segment.

According to a report by XDA Developers, the device (codenamed “sweet”) bears the model number M2101K6G and is a 4G-capable device that includes NFC support in addition to dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. However, the Indian variant of the Note 10 Pro is unlikely to support NFC, the report states.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro will also likely support a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz with an 8nm Snapdragon 732G (Qualcomm SM7152 Platform) processor and a 5,050mAh battery, according to a post on the popular Xiaomiui Telegram channel. While the device appears to ship with MIUI 12, it isn't clear whether it will run Android 11 out of the box.

HT had previously reported that the Xiaomi Note 10 could feature a Mediatek Dimensity chipset, which would explain the rumoured inclusion of the Snapdragon 732G on the Note 10 Pro variant. Xiaomi might also launch a 5G model with the Snapdragon 750G under the hood, according to another report. However, Xiaomi is yet to confirm either the existence of any of these phones or their exact specifications.

However, it remains to be seen how much of an upgrade the rumoured Redmi Note 10 Pro would be over the current Redmi Note 9 Pro that sports a Snapdragon 720G processor, a 6.67-inch FHD+ display and Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection, a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP macro sensor. It also has a 32MP front-facing camera and a 5,020 mAh battery.
