Xiaomi to launch Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G next week

    Xiaomi has been rumoured of working on two 5G smartphones for the Redmi Note 9 lineup. The new 5G smartphones are expected to launch this month, and a new leak now specifies the launch date. The phones in question are reportedly Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.

    According to a leak on Weibo, the new Redmi Note 9 smartphones are scheduled to launch on November 27. The leak adds that Redmi Note 9 5G will start at CNY 999 ( 11,400 approx), and the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be priced at CNY 1,499 ( 17,000 approx). Going by this leak, Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G would be the most affordable 5G smartphones.

    Based on leaks so far, Redmi Note 9 5G will feature a 6.53-inch full HD+ display, and it could be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U chipset. It will be available in three storage options of 4GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The smartphone is also said to pack a 5,000mAh battery, a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

    Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor under its hood with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone could sport a 108-megapixel camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera.

    Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G could come in colour options of black, red, blue, pink, white, green, purple and silver.
