The first Mars mission was equipped with five scientific payloads, each on a mission to reveal a new secret about the Red Planet: its surface features, morphology, mineralogy, and atmosphere. The Mangalyaan-2 mission will have four payloads which will focus on interplanetary dust, and the Martian atmosphere and environment.
