Apple AirPods 3rd Gen, Apple Music Voice Plan Indian prices announced
Apple has just announced the 3rd generation AirPods, new colours for the HomePod Mini, and a new Apple Music Voice Plan. Here are all details.
New 3rd generation AirPods, HomePod Mini in new colours, and Apple Music Voice Plan – all these were part of the audio based announcements at the Apple Unleashed event. The new AirPods join the existing AirPods models while the HomePod Mini in new colours expands the current colour options. Along with the Apple Music Voice Plan, all these will be available in India.

Apple AirPods 3rd Gen
The 3rd Gen AirPods get a new design inspired by the AirPods Pro, having a shorter stem with the same force sensor and IPX4 rating. With a custom designed driver, the new AirPods 3rd Gen brings AAC-ELC codes for superior FaceTime calls, an Adaptive EQ t go with the Spatial Audio features and support for Dolby Atmos. Apple promises up to 6 hours of listening time and 4 hours of talktime, with case extending to it to a total of 30 hours. It also gets MagSafe wireless charging.
The AirPods (3rd generation) will be available for ₹18,500 in India while the AirPods 2nd Gen will sell at ₹12,900. The AirPods Pro with the MagSafe Charging Case costs ₹24,900.
HomePod Mini new colours
The HomePod Mini retains the same internals as the last year’s model but gains some new colours. Apart from the White and Space Gey, the HomePod Mini is also available in Yellow, Orange and Blue in India, starting at ₹9,900.
Apple Music Voice Plan
The Apple Music Voice Plan costs ₹49 per month in India and lets you access the Apple Music library via Siri. With this plan, users can ask Siri to play any track from the Apple Music catalogue on the HomePod Mini, AirPods, iPhone, CarPlay, and other Apple products. Subscribers have full playback controls, including unlimited song-skipping through Siri.
“Apple Music Voice Plan subscribers will get a customised in-app experience with suggestions based on the listener’s music preferences and a queue of recently played music through Siri. Within the app there will also be a dedicated section called “Just Ask Siri” where subscribers can learn tips to optimise Siri for Apple Music,” says Apple.
