Apple Music to offer lossless audio streaming on Android soon

Shortly after discovering HiFi audio streaming on iOS, Apple was found testing the same on Android as well.

Apple is rumoured to launch the AirPods 3 and Apple Music HiFi streaming next week via a press release announcement. This could actually happen according to new evidence found about Apple's lossless audio streaming service. 9to5Google discovered very obvious hints of this in the latest Apple Music beta version on Android.

Apple Music currently offers users two streaming options where one is for higher quality and the other for reduced data usage. In the Apple Music 3.6.0 beta version on Android, 9to5Google found that there's a new streaming option for lossless audio. Hints include Apple warning users of high data consumption when switching to lossless audio streaming.

The publication added that Apple will offer two versions of lossless audio where “Lossless” will offer 48kHz audio, and “Hi-res Lossless” will offer up to 192kHz. This discovery comes shortly after Apple was spotted testing HiFi audio in iOS 14.6 beta. It looks like Apple is close to introducing this audio streaming service soon. More specifically, we could see the launch of HiFi audio streaming along with the AirPods 3 on May 18.
