iPhone SE 2022 rumours have long suggested a mild refresh of the 2020 model. If this got you disappointed, then news about the iPhone SE 2023 model should excite you. It is now said that Apple has a new iPhone SE planned for 2023 with changes coming for crucial aspects, such as the display size and RAM capacity. The rumour also reaffirms details about a 3-model Apple Watch lineup.

Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that Apple's 2024 iPhone SE refresh is currently considered for an early 2023 launch. Kuo reiterates that this 2023 model could have a display size ranging between 5.7-inch to 6.1-inch. Also, this would be the last time Apple will use an LCD display on an iPhone. All other models have already made the switch to OLED technology.

iPhone SE 2023 getting big upgrades

In the MacRumours report, Kuo suggests that Apple will also upgrade the RAM capacity from 3GB on the current model to the 4GB. The choice of chipset is still unknown as Apple has options to choose between A14 and A15 chips. The iPhone SE 2022 model with the classic design is could have a chance of using the older A14 chip, although Apple always launches an iPhone SE generation with the latest in-house chip.

When compared to the previous rumours, the iPhone SE 2023 is likely to be based on the ageing iPhone XR. Hence, you can expect the 2023 iPhone SE to have a similar large display with a Face ID sitting in the notch, a single rear camera, and a larger battery (the biggest upgrade for the iPhone SE since 2016). Rumours even suggest a punch-hole cutout for the front camera and sensors.

On the other hand, in a report from 9To5Mac, Kuo says that Apple is on track to release three new Apple Watch models in 2022. The Apple Watch Series 8 will bring along a rugged edition for athletes and hikers. The Apple Watch SE is also expected to get a new update as well, although the exact details are blurry at the moment.

Apple is is also expected to come up with the successor to the AirPods Pro, expected to be called the AirPods Pro 2. This one is said to gain a upgraded chipset, a host of health sensors, and a design that gets rid of the stem.
