Latest OnePlus 6 leak reveals India price for 64GB, 128GB models

As we inch closer to the official launch of OnePlus 6, more new details of the smartphone have emerged online. The latest leak reveals possibly the most important bit of information for the OnePlus 6 - price.

According to a report by a website TrueTech, OnePlus 6 with 64GB storage will be priced at ₹36,999. As for the second variant with 128GB storage, the listing suggests it will retail at ₹39,999. If true, OnePlus 6 is going to be the most expensive OnePlus smartphone thus far. That said, it will be still under ₹40,000, which means it is still cheaper than the premium phones like Samsung Galaxy S9 and Apple iPhone X.

At the moment, there's no word on the pricing for 256GB model and the Avengers Edition-themed model of OnePlus 6. Based on the latest leak, these two models may be more expensive.

OnePlus has been increasing the price of its smartphones with each launch and this price bracket does seem believeable. For instance, OnePlus 5T launched in India at ₹32,999 for the base model while the 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage model is priced at ₹37,999.

However, without any official confirmation it's better not to assume that this would be the final price.

OnePlus 6 India launch

OnePlus 6 will launch on May 16 in London followed by its India arrival on May 17 itself. The smartphone will go on sale for early birds exclusively via Amazon India on May 21.

OnePlus 6 design and specifications

In addition to a 256GB model, OnePlus 6 will also come with 8GB of RAM running Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor under its hood.

OnePlus 6 will also go through a major design change by implementing the iPhone X inspired notch display. OnePlus is also retaining the 3.5mm audio jack on the OnePlus 6. The company has been teasing certain upcoming features on the smartphone like additional camera functions for its alert slider. OnePlus 6 could also come with iPhone x-like gestures for functions like pulling down notifications and killing an app.

OnePlus 6 has also been teased to come with waterproof capabilities which would be a first for a OnePlus smartphone. The smartphone will come with a glass panel on the back.

Based on speculations and leaks, OnePlus 6 is expected to feature a 6.28-inxh QHD+ display, and run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It could be fuelled by a 3,450mAh battery.
