Realme 2 India launch highlights: Bets big on design, improved specifications
Following its quick departure from Oppo, Realme launched its first smartphone as an independent brand. Realme 2 comes in three colour options of diamond black, blue and red.

4,230mAh battery with ‘AI Power Master’ which offers AI-based battery optimisations. The company promises battery life of 44 hours on continuous calling, 18 hours of music and 15 hours of video playback.
Realme 2 design, colours
Realme 2 features a 2nd generation diamond cut design with a reflective back. It comes in three colour options of diamond black, red and blue. The smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Realme 2 display
Realme 2 features a 6.2-inch display with 88.8% screen-to-body ratio. It comes with a notch cutout on top which comes with features like shortcuts. Users can reply to WhatsApp messages while watching videos on Realme 2.
Realme expands outside India
Realme will soon expand its business to countries in the Middle-east and South-east Asia.
Realme “Callme” service
Realme introduces “Callme” customer service for Realme smartphones. Through this service, the company will offer free doorstep pick-up and free courier of Realme phones.

Realme 1 launched with a 6-inch display, MediaTek Helio P20 AI processor, and 3,410mAh battery. It has a single 13-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera. On the software front, Realme 1 runs on ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Realme 2 competitors
Realme 2 with its specifications and expected pricing, it will compete against top budget smartphones. Some of these include Moto G5 Plus and Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro.
