Realme 2 India launch highlights: Bets big on design, improved specifications

Following its quick departure from Oppo, Realme launched its first smartphone as an independent brand. Realme 2 is successor to Realme 1 which was launched in India earlier this May.Realme 2 starts at ₹8,990 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The 4GB+64GB variant will retail at ₹10,990. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 processor. For photography, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup of 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Up front it houses an 8-megapixel camera for selfies.Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 4,230mAh battery. The smartphone also features a rear fingerprint sensor, face unlock and dual 4G VoLTE. Realme 2 comes in three colour options of diamond black, blue and red.
