It was a day dedicated to launches today. Nothing launched its first-ever device, Ear (1) today while HMD Global hosted a special event during which it launched three new smartphones along with TWS earbuds today and Spotify introduced a new feature for its users. So, here are the day's top newsmakers:

Spotify gets What's New feed

Spotify today introduced a new feed on its platform. The newly introduced feature is called What's New feed. This feature makes it easier for the users to find the latest songs and episodes from the creators they follow. What's New feed is updated in real-time. Spotify has started rolling out the What's New feed to all users globally on iOS and Android.

Instagram gets kids-focused privacy update

Instagram has announced some important changes they are bringing in for users under the age of 16 on the platform. Instagram is also going to make the accounts of all users under 16 private by default. Instagram said that they are adding a feature that will allow them to zero in on user accounts that have shown “potentially suspicious behaviour” or have been reported against by other underage users in the past. Instagram is going to stop these accounts from interacting with younger users. This restriction in adults being able to interact with teenage users will roll out in Australia, France, UK, US, and Japan first and then come to other countries.

Nothing launches Ear(1)

Nothing has finally launched its first product. The Nothing Ear (1) TWS earbuds have been launched globally and the earbuds are going to be available on Flipkart from August 17 starting 12 noon and are priced at 5,999.

HMD Global launches three new Nokia smartphones

HMD Global hosted a special event today wherein it launched three new smartphones. The list includes the Nokia XR20, the Nokia 6310 and the Nokia C30 smartphones. In addition to this, the company also introduced four new lines of Nokia audio series, which include Go, Microm Comfort and Clarity.

Vodafone Idea introduces postpaid plans in India

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched new postpaid plans for its enterprise customers in India. These new Vodafone Idea postpaid plans are priced at 299 that offers 30GB of data, 349 that offers 40GB of data, 399 that offers 60GB of data and 499 that offers 100GB of data. These plans also offer other services such as mobile security, employee safety via location tracking solutions, subscription to OTT services, and access to Vi Business-Mobility platform.
