Apple has already announced a launch event, which is scheduled to take place on September 14. It is expected to unveil the iPhone 13 series. The company is expected to introduce a number of new features, including a higher refresh rate to better cameras on the 2021 iPhones. The iPhone 13 launch event is titled "California Streaming.” The event will take place online on September 14at 10 am PDT, or 10.30 pm IST. There is an Easter egg in the latest Apple event invite.

The AR Easter egg comes into action when you visit the Apple Events webpage. Then you have to tap the September 14 invite on your iPhone or iPad. This will bring an Apple logo that will appear over your camera viewfinder. You can zoom in to it to look at the lake landscape and then move your Apple device to find the “9.14” launch date. Apple has also integrated some sound effects. These are powered by spatial audio along with the song "Weather" by WDL.

The company is touted to introduce a 120Hz ProMotion display on the iPhone 13 series at the launch event. The current Apple offerings are stuck in the past as they come with a 60Hz refresh rate. If the rumours are to be believed, Apple is adopting an LTPO display to offer a 120Hz high refresh rate on the iPhone 13 Pro series. Therefore, the vanilla iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are said to miss out on the feature. Moreover, the latter two devices are expected to offer a better battery life, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max battery life might take a hit due to the 120Hz refresh rate.

The iPhone 13 series is tipped to introduce a new ProRes video-recording feature that will let users capture clips in a higher-quality format. Hence, giving editors more control during post-production. Additionally, you could better control the look of colours and highlights in your pictures. The feature will differ from standard filters. For the unaware, portrait mode allows you to put a person in sharp focus while blurring the background.

Apple is also rumoured to shrink the notch size on the iPhone 13 lineup. It is said that the TrueDepth camera will be shallower. It is because the receiver at the top of the display is tipped to be relocated to the edge of the case.
