Today's World Yoga Day and to mark the occasion, there is nothing better than a good workout session with the right music and moves. Now, many of you might be working out and not necessarily doing yoga because it is not intense enough, but it can be, if it is done right. Also, yoga can help you recover from an intense workout session as well. So, it's not just a workout.

“Unlike the popular belief that Yoga is a workout, it's actually not just a physical practice but a spiritual one. You learn a lot about yourself, through your body on the mat and that knowledge comes in handy in other spheres of life too,” said Delhi-based yoga expert, Nidhi Mohan Kamal.

“Connecting with your breath is known to be the best way to beat the stress out of your life. I have been using Apple Watch for 4 years now, and the Breathe App has been helpful in mindful breathing every day. In these stressful times, Yoga has been my go-to ritual for mental health and a way to connect with the divine. Don't worry about complicated poses and vinyasa if that intimidates you, just breathing deeply and a few basic poses can be amazing too, the important thing is to show up on the mat every day with devotion to yourself and creator,” Kamal explained.

To help you get going, here are some yoga and meditation playlists on Apple Music:

High Vibes Yoga

With its long builds, ecstatic drops, and trippy tribal- and house-influenced grooves, this playlist is designed for collective, high-energy yoga. This playlist involves more rave than relaxation sessions. More Burning Man than bodhisattva. High Vibes Yoga playlist keeps rotating selections regularly, so if users hear something they like, they can add it to their library.

Worldwide Yoga

Worldwide Yoga is a playlist of yoga-ready music that spans genres, energies, eras, and continents in an effort to celebrate not just yoga's incredible cultural reach, but the diversity of practices out there. And because there's no one way to do it, the style here varies, but the mood is consistent and uplifting throughout. Editors keep updating picks here regularly, so you won't get bored.

Beats & Breath

At the heart of any yoga practice, however dynamic, is the breath: steady, present, often subtle. Covering the ideal range for tracking your breath to movement, here's a playlist designed to keep you focused and anchored—whether practicing or teaching. The style is eclectic, but the pulse isn't. Editors keep updating picks here regularly as well.

Restorative Yoga

With its long holds, deep breathing, and focus on low physical activity, restorative yoga is meant to give your body a break while still providing a challenge for the mind. In that spirit, this is a playlist of meditative music meant to complement the pace and mood of a great restorative practice. No builds, no drops, no surprises—just chill.

Flow State

This is a playlist designed specifically for vinyasa practice. The range is varied, but the energy is steady and the mood upbeat: a perfect balance to keep your breath flowing while moving from pose to pose. Users can set it and forget it, or cherry-pick tracks to build their own custom course—it works either way. Flow State playlist keeps rotating selections regularly so if you find something you like, add it to your Library.

Pure Meditation

Some moments require a soundtrack that lies lightly in the background without calling attention to itself. These calming tracks encompass gentle ambient music, acoustic new age, Tibetan prayer bowls, and the occasional sounds of ocean waves and rainfall—a mix specifically designed to help users clear their minds. The editors regularly update this playlist. Listeners can add songs to their library directly from the playlist.
