Xiaomi adds new user centre, immersive carousel to PatchWall 3.0

PatchWall 3.0 has been updated with new features including a personalised user centre, carousel, and more live content.

Xiaomi has rolled out new updates to PatchWall 3.0 for its Mi TVs. PatchWall 3.0 has been updated with new features, and more additions to its Live TV section. Mi TV users can now experiences the new features on PatchWall 3.0.

The new PatchWall update brings a dedicated user centre which offers a personalised hub for users. The user centre will show different streaming platforms, and content. It will also display shows that you're currently watching from different platforms all clubbed together. This is under ‘My Watchlist' that lets you continue watching your last watched content. The user centre also shows content that is trending, upcoming and those that are new and have been updated recently.

Xiaomi has also introduced an immersive carousel in PatchWall 3.0 for Mi TVs. The company says title posters are “much more beautiful and impactful” in the carousel. In addition to seeing content users are currently watching, the carousel will also show similar content. The carousel also shows details of TV shows and movies.

The latest PatchWall 3.0 update brings new channels to the Live TV section. It now features live content from Hungama, ABP, Republic TV, EpicOn, Hoichoi and SunNXT. Xiaomi has also added regional channels including Gemini, Surya, Udaya, Sun and KTV which offers movies and shows in four Southern languages. The Live TV section has also been categorised with seven tabs - Live News, Free to Watch, Live Music, Watch in HD, Comedy Anytime, and Explore More.

Mi TV PatchWall was the first to introduce a Live TV section with Live News and now are happy to extend that to linear channels. By bringing features such as Immersive Carousel, User Centre, Live TV among others, we are looking at offering a more personalised and immersive carousel experience to our Mi Fans and consumers,” said Eshwar Nilakantan, Category head for TV at Mi India.

PatchWall for Xiaomi smart TVs offers a customised interface for users in India. It hosts over 23 content partners from India and globally. PatchWall also offers content available in over 16 languages.
