Boat launches new smartwatch Xtend with real-time stress monitor and built-in Alexa

Boat has launched a new smartwatch called Xtend in the Indian market. The Xtend comes with built-in Alexa and a host of sensors on board to track your health and fitness. There is a stress monitor, SpO2 sensor, heart rate sensor, sleep monitor, etc and the Xtend can keep a track of your workout and steps. All of these health and fitness data is summarised on the Boat Wave app so as users can understand the data better.

The built-in Alexa feature on Boat Xtend allows uses to set reminders and alarms, check cricket scores, look up on the weather, etc, right from the wrist without having to pull your smartphone out. The smartwatch comes with a 1.69-inch LCD display with touch support and there are more than 50 watch faces accessible via the Boat Wave app that you can use to customise the smartwatch.

The Boat Xtend can track heart rate, stress, SpO2, sleep patterns both automatically and manually. Its real-time stress monitor reads HRV (heart rate variabilities) to indicate stress levels. If the stress monitor indicates levels more than 80, there is the guided meditative breathing app that can be used to calm down. This app comes with three modes - slow, normal, and rapid, and users can manually pick what works best for them.

There is also a daily activity tracker that comes with 14 fitness modes including walking, running, cycling, hiking, swimming, etc. And the Boat Xtend can smartly recognise if you are walking or running and automatically starts tracking that.

Besides the health features, the Boat Xtend comes with smartwatch features like notification alerts for calls, texts, and alarms. You also get hydration alerts on the Boat Xtend along with notifications from other third-party social media apps. There are also curated controls on the smartwatch to track weather, change music, etc.

The Boat Xtend comes with a 300mAh battery and a seven-day battery life promises. It also comes with 5ATM water resistance and can survive a depth of up to 50 mts for 30 mins.

The Boat Xtend comes in Olive Green, Sandy Cream, Pitch Black, and Deep Blue colours and has been launched at an introductory price of ₹2,999. There is a one-year standard industry warranty on the watch and you can buy it from the Boat website or from Amazon.
