PUBG Mobile India successor, Battlegrounds Mobile India game, is inching closer towards its launch. However, its release date has not been revealed as yet, but it could happen as early as this week, according to a number of reports. However, gamers will not be able to play unless they carry out a certain task. Ahead of the launch, PUBG Mobile India game's replacement has been dropping teasers and updates on how it will work here and what gamers must do to be allowed to play. Now, Battlegrounds Mobile India has updated its support page where it has shared details about the requirements. Battlegrounds Mobile India says it will require gamers to validate an OTP and only then will they get access to the game. This suggests that OTP login may well be the process implemented for players to be able to log in to the game.

What does this mean? Krafton has listed out the instructions players will have to follow for OTP authentication. Importantly, players will have to submit their mobile number to receive the OTP, and this may be the only way to log in to Battlegrounds Mobile India. Krafton has updated the support page of Battlegrounds Mobile India with a new section called “Rules regarding OTP Authentication”, according to a report by Gadgets360.
Players will be able to verify their mobile number up to three times, according to the report. The verification code will be valid for five minutes before it expires. Players will also be able to request for a verification code 10 times, and then they will be restricted for 24 hours. Also, one mobile number can be used to register up to 10 accounts on Battlegrounds Mobile India.
Battlegrounds Mobile India: Launch
The latest Battlegrounds Mobile India update comes close to the rumoured launch date. Krafton is yet to make it official but industry insiders have suggested that the PUBG Mobile India successor will release this week, June 18 to be precise. The game is currently available for pre-registrations on Google Play Store. There's no iOS version available yet and there's no official word on the same. For now Android users can pre-register for the game.
Battlegrounds Mobile India: Concept
Battlegrounds Mobile India is touted as the PUBG Mobile alternative for Indian fans. It was supposed to launch as PUBG Mobile India but Krafton later changed it to Battlegrounds Mobile India. It has the same battle royale concept where 100 players parachute into an island and battle with each other. Battlegrounds Mobile India will feature different game modes that can be played with squads or one-on-one. It will have diverse maps with different terrains on a virtual setting developed using Epic's Unreal Engine 4. The game will also feature India specific in-game events, outfits and features.
