We are just hours away from Apple's ‘One more thing' event for Macs and there have already been several speculations and rumours around what's there to come. However, reports indicate that apple might not have a pleasant start with its Silicon Mac devices as major app developers have already backed off.

Since Apple Silicon Macs are said to have the same processor as what is used in iPhones and iPads, it might be able to run iOS apps even if the developer hasn't offered the specific version of apps for macOS. However, multiple apps may be missing from the Mac App Store when user get their hands on it for the first time.

There won't be a native YouTube app for Mac, at least for now. Some other Google apps that might not be coming are Google Maps, Google Drive and Gmail. Netflix and HBO Max apps won't be there as well since they are still on track to arrive to the platform.

Adding to the disappointment is that Facebook has chosen not to bring its iOS apps to Mac App Store including Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Facebook's own app itself. Other noteworthy apps missing will be Snapchat, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+, as mentioned by 9to5 Mac.

As for the games, apps for Candy Crush, Among Us, and Real Racing 3 won't be there but Sky: Children of the Light, Subway Surfers, and Temple Run might be there upon launch.

However, as for the power, the new Macs might be as good as any other high-end Intel MacBooks that have launched previously. The company even showed a glimpse of how powerful the product can be while editing videos, during the WWDC virtual event.
