MacBook Air 2022 leak gives another hope for fans: Check it out
MacBook Air 2022 is expected to come out this year and rumours have gone wild talking about it. Will it have a wild new notch-based display or a mighty powerful M2 chips? We don’t know. But a new report from wccftech reveals a new render of the alleged 2022 MacBook Air, bringing a weird fusion of the new Pro models and some inspiration from the existing model. Note that this is just a render, not an official design reveal, which is why you should take this with a pinch of salt.
The new MacBook Air is shown here with a new wedge shaped design instead of the tapered design on the current model. This should put the new MacBook Air in the same design class as the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models. Another standout feature is the display with the notch on the top, similar to the Pro models. The new model will also be lighter and thinner than the existing model.
MacBook Air in 2022 to get big changes
Colours is what the new MacBook Air will be getting in copious amounts. This will be more in-line with the 24-inch iMac that was last updated in 2021 with the M1 chip.
Moving ahead, the MacBook Air 2022 is rumored to get a mini-LED display technology in a 13.6-inch form factor. The miniLED tech has already been in the Pro models.
“We have also heard that the MacBook Air 2022 will bring a redesigned keyboard that will be similar to the one that is found in MacBook Pro. However, the difference here is going to be an all-white keyboard with spacing found under each letter,” says the report.
And lastly, the Apple M2 chip will be the star of the show here. The chip is said to be an upgrade over the M1 chip but it won’t be as powerful as the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. The CPU will still have eight cores but it will be tuned for better efficiency.
The MacBook Air 2022 is also said to offer a USB Type-C and a Thunderbolt port. There are rumours of the HDMI and SD card slots on the Air 2022 but that is something still not confirmed. Buyers can also expect storage options of up to 2TB with maxed-out RAM of 16GB. Apple could also be upgrading the battery life, with the device being said to have up to 20 hours of battery life.
