Poco gaming laptop? It does not seem weird, given that both Xiaomi and Redmi already sell their on. Xiaomi has an entire portfolio of gaming and high performance laptops in China and if it wants to use different sub-brands to classify its products better, Poco deserves the models meant for PC gaming. India could see its first Poco gaming laptop in early 2022, suggests a leak.

In fact, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has been found certifying a Redmi G series laptop with a battery that carries the Poco brand name. Hence, it is suggestive of the idea that Poco could bring the Redmi G laptops to India as its own, similar to how it does for its smartphones. Not a bad idea, it seems, as Poco is usually known for its performance oriented smartphones sold with very aggressive pricing.

Poco Gaming laptops coming to India

The information was spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma and reported via 91Mobiles. While Poco has nothing to say about this for now, the possibility of the poco gaming laptop is high, given that Xiaomi introduced its affordable Redmi laptops in India this year.

The Redmi G laptops were launched in China as midrange gaming laptops relying on AMD Ryzen and Intel power. The Redmi G laptop in China is known for its 144Hz 16.1-inch display, a 55Whr battery, an advanced cooling system, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Buyers get an option to choose from a 11th Gen Core i5 processor and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800 processor. For graphics, there is a NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU available as standard.

A laptop with similar specifications from Dell, HP, Lenovo and Asus may end up costing almost 1 lakh in India. Hence, it remains to be seen how Poco goes ahead with the pricing. Given its aggressive pricing strategy in the past, the gaming laptops could among the more affordable ones with the RTX 3060 card.

Poco is also expected to launch the Poco X4, which is the successor to the popular Poco X3 in India.
