Apple took everyone by surprise this year during the iPhone 12 launch when it announced that it will be removing the charging adapter and the EarPods from all the iPhone retail boxes in future. However, before the launch the company surveyed some users, asking about how they use the charging adapter that comes inside the box.

Now, the company is once again asking for an opinion via a new survey. And this time, it's about the USB cable that comes inside the iPhone box. This has led many to believe that the iPhone 13 retail box won't be including the USB cable as well. The survey was pointed out by a user do 9to5Mac recently. Apple seems to be targeting the iPhone 12 users and not the ones that are using the older models.

However, that's not the only surprising part regarding the iPhone 13. Among several questions in the survey, Apple also asked if the user is satisfied with the FaceID authentication tech. And if the answer is no, some alternatives are shared by the firm. And one of them is “I prefer TouchID.”

-Security or privacy concerns

-I don't like having to pick up my phone to use Face ID

-Slow performance

-It does not detect my face in all situations (such as low light, different angles, lying down, wearing sunglasses)

-I prefer Touch ID

-Not reliable; does not always unlock the iPhone

-Other

-Not sure

Now it will be a longshot to assume that asking this question and giving such options means Apple might include Touch ID in iPhone 13. But this rumor has also been backed by the popular Apple tipster John Prosser. In his latest video about the iPhone 13, he says that the device can have a TouchID sensor, but it will be under the display, something that we have seen in several smartphones from Samsung, Vivo, Oppo and others. It is said that Apple will be using COVID-19 and the difficulty in unlocking the iPhone using FaceID when wearing a mask as a reason to bring back Touch ID.

It might also be possible that Apple could embed TouchID on the power button, a tech that already exists in the new Apple iPad Air.
