Apple iPhone 13, iPhone SE 3 specs revealed

Apart from talking about the iPhone 13 series, Young also talks about the iPhone SE 3, which he says will launch in the Spring of 2022.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 12 series smartphones on October 13. Ahead of the launch of the iPhone 12 series smartphones, reports have detailed what we should expect from Apple's iPhone lineup next year.

As per Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), Apple will be launching four new iPhone models in 2021. These four iPhone models will be a 5.42-inch iPhone 13, a 6.06-inch iPhone 13, another 6.06-inch iPhone 13 Pro, and a 6.67-inch iPhone Pro Max. The report says that all of these iPhone 13 models will come with Y-octa OLED displays and Sub-6 5G connectivity. All the iPhone 13 models will also come with FaceID functionality.

The report also talks about the camera specification of the iPhone 13 series smartphones. Young says that the 6.06-inch iPhone 13 Pro and the 6.67-inch iPhone Pro Max will come with a triple rear camera setup and a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera. The other two iPhone 13 models, that is, the 5.42-inch iPhone 13 and the 6.06-inch iPhone 13 model will come with a dual rear camera setup sans the ToF camera.

Like DSCC, Mizuho Securities also says no new iPhone SE model in 2021, have to wait till 2022. Furthermore, Young says that while all iPhone 13 models will come with OLED displays, one company will not be supplying display panels for all iPhone 13 models. While Samsung Display will be supplying display panels for the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the base model that could be called the iPhone 13 Mini, LG Display or BOE could provide displays for the standard iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro.

Apart from talking about the iPhone 13 series, Young also talks about the iPhone SE 3, which he says will launch in the Spring of 2022. The iPhone SE 3 will come with a 6.06-inch LCD display. It will come with a dual rear camera setup that is the same as that of the iPhone 11. Additionally, the report says that it will come with a fingerprint sensor instead of the FaceID and come short of a ToF camera.
