Apple iPhone 13 set to launch, but check out iPhone 14 first - camera, chip to much more
Apple iPhone 14 is tipped to come with a notchless design and a 48MP camera.
An Apple iPhone launch event is always an eye-ball grabber and one is approaching fast, but the attention of fans is already wandering to the next year's smartphone. The Apple iPhone 13 series smartphones will be launching in the fall of 2021. Reports have not only detailed the specifications of the iPhone 13 series smartphones, but they have also tipped their pricing too. Now, iPhone 13 is just some three months away from its launch date and yet already reports have detailed features that we are expected to see in the iPhone 14 series smartphones. It is worth noting that the iPhone 14 series smartphones are expected to launch in the fall of 2022, but the interest in it is already high.
Apple iPhone 14 series smartphones specs
According to noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumours), the iPhone 14 series smartphones are expected to feature an under-screen version of Touch ID. This under-screen fingerprint sensor will provide an alternative to Face ID to the iPhone users, especially while wearing face masks -- something that most iPhone users have been complaining about ever since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max camera
In addition to this, the Apple analyst also said that the Pro versions of the iPhone 14 series smartphones, that is the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to come with a 48-megapixel rear camera setup. He also said that Apple is expected to ditch the notch in its 2022 iPhone models and opt for a punch-hole display that is quite similar to Android smartphones. This is similar to what Kuo said about the iPhone 14's notch earlier this year.
Apple iPhone chips
Separately, reports have detailed that TSMC will begin mass-producing chips based on a more efficient 3nm process for iPhones launching in 2022. This means that the A16 chipset that will be powering the iPhone 14 series smartphones will be based on TSMC's 3nm process.
Additionally, Kuo in a report dating back to January 2021 said that the 2022 iPhone models are expected to come with 10x optical zoom and they will use periscope lens to provide this feature.
All said and done, readers should take these details with a pinch of salt as Apple hasn't confirmed anything yet.
