The different model numbers are said to launch as Asus Zenfone 8, Zenfone 8 Pro and so on. Also read click here. The Zenfone 8 will follow the Zenfone 7 series that had launched in August last year. The predecessor retained Asus’ flip camera module. As expected, the flagship series came with top-of-the-line specifications, including Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 865 processor. Just a quick recap of the Zenfone 7 Pro model: The phone featured a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 200Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. The phone featured a combination of a 64-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 113-degree field of view, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. A 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging support powered the phone. That said, Asus’ Zenfone 8 series is likely to be priced aggressively and may offer an affordable alternative to the power users-focused ROG Phone 5, which starts at ₹49,999 in India.
