Big relief for iPhone 11 users! Banned earlier, Apple finally brings THIS important battery benefit

When the iOS 16 update was rolled out globally, we found out something very unusual. A very important and much asked-for feature, the battery meter, was finally added back to most iPhones. Majority of the supported iPhone devices were instantly able to use it to track exactly what percentage of the battery they had used up. But surprisingly, a few devices did not get this luxury. Effectively, the feature was banned for them. The iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 13 Mini and the iPhone XR users were the unlucky ones. As a result, it upset many users. But with the release of the public beta of iOS 16.1, it seems that the iPhone 11 battery meter might become a reality.

The information was reported by MacRumors which claimed that the iOS 16.1 has updated this feature for all the devices which previously did not get it. The information is on the basis of Macrumors forums and experience shared by Twitter users. We have not personally verified this, so do check it for yourself by either getting the iOS 16.1 beta or waiting for the official release of the update.

iPhone 11 to get the battery meter

According to MacRumors, the main issue for these devices arose because of the Face ID. As the Face ID takes up a considerable amount of space on the top row of the device, there was not enough space to display the battery meter. These devices in particular were left out due to their smaller size compared to the other larger models. However, Apple has taken note of this and the next update has presumably fixed the aspect ratio of the elements to add this feature for iPhone 11 and other devices.

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

Earlier, the devices to get the battery percentage feature with the iOS 16 update included iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max; iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max; iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max; iPhone X, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max; iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus; and iPhone SE 2nd and 3rd generation.
