Black Shark 4, 4 Pro to launch on March 23; may be the first gaming phones to feature a 108-megapixel camera
What indeed is confirmed about the Pro’s camera is that it will have an ‘AI Triple Camera’.
Gaming smartphone maker Black Shark has already announced its Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro smartphones via teasers in China. It has also confirmed a few specifications of the device. However, today, it has finally revealed the launch date of the two devices - March 23. This is only for China and there’s no word when we will see the Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro smartphones hitting the shelves outside the country. While the launch date has been confirmed, a piece of information has leaked as well. The fresh leak indicates that the more powerful, Black Shark 4 Pro, may come with a 108-megapixel rear primary camera.
However, what indeed is confirmed about the Pro’s camera is that it will have an ‘AI Triple Camera’. This information comes directly from the company CEO Lou Yuzhou, who shared a camera sample on his Weibo account. In the corner of the image, one can clearly see the text ‘BlackShark 4 Pro AI Triple Camera’.
Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro are expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This was hinted back in December last year when the chip maker announced its new mobile SoC and confirmed Black Shark as one of the OEMs. Last month, the handset was listed on Google Play console as well with model number PRS-A0 and codename “Penrose.”
The listing revealed the phone to ship with Android 11 out-of-the-box, 12GB of RAM and a Full HD+ display. However, the second phone codenamed ‘Kaiser’ was listed with Full HD+ display and 8GB of RAM. Some other leaked specs are 6.67-inch display, 120W fast charging support, and 4,500mAh battery.
