Honor V40 series specifications revealed ahead of the official launch
Honor V40 series will come with 50-megapixel primary sensor and 66W fast charging support among other upgrades.
Honor will soon launch a V40 smartphone series. According to leaks, the upcoming V40 smartphone series is going to be a big upgrade over V30 series, which launched in 2019. Ahead of the official release, key specifications of Honor V40 series have leaked online.
Specifications leaked by RODENT950 (via Gizmochina), Honor will release V40 Pro and V40 Pro Plus as part of the smartphone series. The report pointed out that the V30 series featured V30 and V30 Pro. As of now, there is no word on a vanilla V40 version, added the report.

According to the report, Honor V40 series will feature a 6.72-inch full HD+ curved display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The report added that V40 Pro would run on MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor whereas V40 Pro Plus would run on Huawei's in-house Kirin 9000 processor.
The smartphone series will offer upgraded camera specifications as well. According to the report, the V40 series will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor, which is said to be Sony IMX700 RYYB lens. The lens is also available on Honor 30 Pro Plus. The upcoming smartphone is also said to come with faster 66W SuperCharge charging support. It could also support 40W wireless charging.
Other leaked features of V40 series include 5G support, dual-SIM, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C ports.
Separately, a recent report claimed Huawei is mulling over selling its Honor smartphone business. According to reports, the Chinese handset company is in talks with Digital China Group Co Ltd and others to sell Honor smartphone unit in a deal that could fetch up to 25 billion yuan ($3.7 billion)
